Design is life and art

Lavazza is an Italian manufacturer of luxury coffee products that has been in this field since 1895. Some people say that you can drink Lavazza coffee with the same and perfect taste in different cities around the world, which shows that Lavazza has strict requirements for its products.

Lavazza organized a design competition for coffee machines in 2022, and one coffee machine is so different.

The grid coffee machine gets its name from its structure, and it looks like different parts of the coffee machine are supported by grid lines. This is reminiscent of the scaffolding in Manhattan, which looks very artistic and not obtrusive, and the grid coffee machine reflects the same atmosphere.

If you own or have seen an espresso machine, you rarely see the function of each component, because they are all integrated in a small and opaque machine, and this process is tedious for you.

Using the grid coffee machine, you can see the whole process of the grinder, water tank and brewing part at work. This is a manual machine that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the tactile experience. When you brew your specialty coffee, you can see the detailed parts of the machine and the processing process. This process itself is also an enjoyment.

The water tank is made of smoked glass, which gives it a mysterious appearance. The surface of the machine is finished with matte black to make it super smooth. Copper and French oak increase the temperature of the entire product and also present a high-end feel.

Design itself is art. It was inspired by the black grid lines in Piet Mondrian's colored blocks and the setup of a chemical laboratory equipment. This is why grid espresso is so unique, it combines "art and science", just like "coffee + milk".

The grid coffee machine is a unique manual espresso machine, it can even double as your home collection.
